In 1990, when we planned our house, we chose Earthcraft Landscape Design to help us with the site master plan and to design and implement a garden that suited our Japanese-style house. The execution was done well and on time while keeping expenses under control. The house and garden has been the subject of articles and garden tours, getting very complimentary reviews
Then in 2003, we again chose Earthcraft to design and implement a rainwater catchment system that collects over 150,000 gallons of water per year. This serves us well through the hot, dry summers. Again a success!
We cannot say enough good things about Earthcraft. They have been so easy to work with and their work is superb. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants an excellent design, well executed.

I want to thank you for making my dream garden come true! I never realized the finished product would look and feel so beautiful. A real feeling of peace and serenity comes over me when I go outside and study the various sections.
I grew up in San Francisco and one of the first gardens I remember seeing is the Japanese Tea Garden. It made a lasting impression on me. And you gave me my own! Our meeting certainly was serendipitous! We are both so pleased.

When we initially began our project, we thought that the rainwater harvesting sounded like a good idea because it would allow us to water our new landscaping without worrying about using our well water. It turned out to be so much more than a good idea.
The system works perfectly, and this year we were able to fill our two 5,000-gallon tanks easily, just from the rainwater collected on half of our garage roof! Not only that, but the drip system that was installed to water the plants worked so much better that we'd imagined. Since the water goes only to the roots of the desired plants, they thrived while the weeds around them died off.
The result has been that our once unusable slope has been transformed into a colorful landscape that we enjoy seeing year-round.
